Works just as promised. No need to be overly strong to use it & that’s a bonus for me!It cut the "free" tile that it came with, which was extremely lightweight and about 1/4" thick. But it did not cut the 12" x 12" floor tile that I purchased which was the standard thickness of about 3/8." The demo video shows that it cuts glass and light tile well, and if that is what you need (like a backsplash) then this may work. But for any other tile, just buy a tile cutter or angle grinder. It is basically the same price or even cheaper. This was a waste of money for me, and I hope this review prevents at least some people from making the same mistake I did.It works like advertisedGreat little tool. I had a guy coming to lay new flooring in my bathroom, he messed up the underlayment so bad that I said "your not coming back to do the tile". So off I was to do it on my own. I didn't want to shell out for a tile cutter, and this was cheaper than renting one from the store. So I figured 'why not'.Well I was extremely pleased with how easy it was to use. It does require a good deal of force and a little bit of technique. So practice until you are sure of yourself. But once you get it down, it goes pretty smoothly.Pros:Easy to use.Does more or less the same work for a fraction of the price.Cons:It will kill your hands, if you are doing a big job or have trouble with your hands in general, maybe just go ahead and rent a tile saw.Probably should be common sense, but it can't do square cuts. It can do straight lines or curved lines, but don't think you are going to cut a square out of a corner with this. For that you will probably need an actual tile saw.Had to fix the spa wall and this product handled the job well so I didn't have to pay for a contractor. Mind you I had to cut many rounds for the job but well worth the time and results. Saved thousands doing it myself!Don’t give up! They work well when you use them properly! This is a decent cutter, but definitely not for anything other than a small, easy job. I received my cutter a few weeks, maybe a month ago. It worked PERFECTLY on the sample tile that accompanied it. Not so much on the actual tile I wanted to use it on, which was thicker (also ceramic) tile. It also required a lot more pressing power than is made clear in their videos, which makes it more difficult to get a precision cut in anything other than a straight line. Overall I think it's handy to have around, although maybe not necessarily worth the price. I'll keep it, it can never hurt to have a decent glass cutter on hand and from the looks of the return process it's not worth the effort and annoyance. Ultimately though, if you're doing a tile job or cutting a large quantity of something this is not the right tool. I ended up just purchasing a wet saw and I love it, should have just gone with that in the first place and I'd have saved $40!It could not cut the class tile I bought it for. It’s a great product but because it arrived very late I received my money back. I am in Canada and it wasn’t the sellers fault so I still want to pay him.
